Saw those clear rear fog light lenses on eBay - anyone got them - anyone with pics (on platinum ice) to see if it actually looks good? Where do the red bulbs for them come from......

Tried to open up the piccy, but I can't get into it

Had a thought

Will the clear lenses and red bulbs not make the lights look like a pair of t*ts ? Excuse my french.........

works fine for me,when it opens you will see javadudes old avatar pic with him looking over the rear wing of his car, i think this is what hes reffering to.

Couldn't open it either. Got this message:

Then just click on my username next to my post to bring up my profile. I've probably got some better pics of the lights on and off somewhere. I'll have a look sometime...

How much red you get show through depends on the bulb. Minimum is with clear LED bulbs but then the light you get is a faint pink. The bulbs you get with the lights are dark magenta when not lit so don't show through too much but when lit are not really bright enough and are pink. Best red colour when lit is to get a clear bulb and paint it with transparent glass paint (cranberry colour) but they show through more red when unlit. Can't remember which bulbs were in when the photo was taken.

Java did you pay extra to have that dodgy bloke bend over your car? :whistling:

Is it possible to use chrome bulbs that light red (I know someone mentioned it but it wasnt answered :( )

:lol: I blame the auto express photographer - I look completely different in the flesh. :D

I've not come across silver/red wedge bulbs but I'll give them a try if someone knows a source.
