Hi

I have faced a problem recently. I can not fill the gas tank with the normal fuel flow. I need to half press the nozzle's handle otherwise the gas pump keeps cutting the fuel.

Fuel doesn't go to the tank as fast as before and keeps overflowing.

The normal fuel flow from the nozzle to the tank should take 2 seconds per litre but mine takes 9 seconds per litre.

What is your suggestion people?

I assume you mean petrol, as you are in the UK ?

It could be a blocked vent pipe maybe,

I have fixed this problem,

there was no problem with canister, breather tube or filler tube. The only issue was the auto close door on top of the fuel tank which was half closed and was not working properly. I have used a long screwdriver and pushed the door back and now everything is normal and I can refuel normally.

There is an auto close door on top of the fuel tank. something to stop siphoning maybe.

Can you show where the auto close door issues was? maybe a pic? I am having similar issues where the fuel cuts off while filling it..
