That is a lot of car for £500. Fit a new timing belt and away you go!

I heard that the vlave clearance on these are quite far apart and if the cam does go the valves to not get bent.

would be good for a pick up truck!! nice conversion

As with nearly all Toyota engines that use a cam belt rather than a chain the engine is non-interference so yes there will be no piston/valve damage.

Thats if it a timming belt it really needs i bought a car some time ago that had this problem but the head needed major work ,seems to cheap considering the tiny amount of work needed to rectify

Take a belt wuth you when you buy and fit it?if it dont run proper dont buy it
