How do you change that setting? Mine shows three bars so I'm guessing that is the most sensitive?

Yes, 3 is the furthest distance to the vehicle in front. Button on the right side of the steering wheel changes it between 1 and 3. It has to be on from the stock first and always defaults to 3.
