Hi - I'm new to IS ownership having jus picked up my IS300h Executive last week (moved up from a CT)

I'm really pleased, but I have had a headlight bulb fail - before I've never had a problem changing these, but this one is HID and looks far more complicated!

The handbook just says "take it to a dealer" but I was wondering if anyone had changed one or knew where there was a guide?

Also does anyone know if the Executive has the facility to have the facility to have the side mirrors dip when you use reverse?

I have the same car and experienced the same problem (during the MOT).  It's an expensive item but fortunately it was covered under warranty and was changed for me by Lexus.  I would suggest your supplier/garage first, especially as you have just got the car.  There is a string on this subject, around March/April if I remember correctly.

Thanks, I'll try searching a bit further back.  Private sale, so cant go back for a bulb!

I'd also change both at the same time. Very likely the other one will pop within a few months.

Osram nightbreaker hid lamps are brilliant

Oddly its started working again.......do the balasts fail or become intermitant?

If anyone has a picture of the bulb or know it’s fittment I can check on them and the ballasts as I supply HiD kits for motorcycles
