I have a 2012 Lexus IS250 f sport. it has the HDD Navigation system(grace note),is it dealership only updates or can I get the updates elsewhere

Dealership only. It is updated via usb drive as far as I know. Last one I had done was £160.

The updates aren’t huge so only do it every 4 or 5 years. I updated a while back ... driving in France on a motorway ... I was driving over green fields. The motorway was newish ... maybe 2 years.

A lot of people criticise the sat nav but in all honesty I’ve found it really rather good. Using coordinates in Spain this year it took us straight to our chosen underground car park near the Guggenheim in Bilbao. It has done this faultlessly to various gites in France too.

Hi as Normski says ,I enquired when I took mine in for the air bag recall recently and was quoted £175 ,I declined at the time as I have a tom tom  which I need for the Mazda so I use that most of the time
