GS250 - Oil

Hi

I should soon be aquiring a 2012-2013 GS250 and I'll want to get some spare oil asap once I have it just incase.

What make/grade of oil do Lexus put in these?

0W-20 I am sure of it.

 

I had an Auris Hybrid HSD TS and sold it for my GS250 . I was about to chuck a bottle of the oil away and the dealer said not to as the GS250 takes it.

Ask ST4 he does intra-continental travel in his, so he should be all knowing.

Is the Toyota 0W20 the same stuff?

Sorry for the late reply - Mines uses not on drop of oil between services. No leaks, no warning lights, no nothing.

 

tbh 0w-20 seems a bit thin  - from memory the grade used when I serviced mine was 5w-30 but in the colder weather a 0w-20 sounds ok
