Front cig lighter

Hi 

Can anyone fix the cig lighter in my ls400 if I drive and meet up some where on a weekend please. 

I'm useless at these things. It's the front cig lighter, I don't smoke but it would be nice to have it working so I can charge my phone. Someone on here said it's that small wire thingy at the rear of the lighter that needs soldering.

Take the cig lighter out completely and replace it with one of these or something similar.

That's a good idea. But how do i take the lighter out?

on my Mk3 the n/s rear passenger door cigar lighter can be used at a stretch with whatever you have charging resting on the front passenger seat

Definitely worth a punt for non-smokers. Have ordered one.
