Safety Recall

I have had a letter from Lexus advising me that there is a safety recall for the LC500h due to an improperly programmed ECU.

I have spoken to a dealer about this and they knew about the recall but said that they have never done one and seemed very unsure as to what is involved to fix it or how long it will take.

Has anyone else had this letter or booked their car in for the work to be done?

Nothing here yet but I have the V8 and not the Hybrid so the ECU will certainly be different (assuming it relates to the engine/gearbox).

Mine went in for its first service Tuesday and there was not any mention of a re call,

It is only the hybrid.

I have had this letter and have booked the car in for the 11th but they are quoting me 2 days to do the work as they are unsure of what is involved

I checked with the online recall database and I have no outstanding recalls.

Similar to what I was told. 

It is rather worrying that dealers don't seem to know much about this.

I can see the potential for further problems if they don't know what they are doing or mess it up completely.

I had the work done yesterday.They had the car for just over half a day.

No problems as far as I know. The car doesn't feel any different.

Had mine done on 22 Oct and it was in for 4 hours at Lexus Glasgow.  Was told it was an ECU error code that had to be deleted from the system. Software updates and full health check also carried out at the same time.
