Hello all,

Has anyone converted their wood trim to carbon fibre look on their is250, I have looked at several options, hydrodipping, vinyl wrapping or buying a kit already cut out with a laser. Any advice on companies to use, what method, or some pictures of your interior conversions would be great. Thanks

If you do a forum search you’ll find quite a lot about carbon wrapping of those components.

Yes mate I wrapped mine last year. Not that difficult to be honest and most of it comes apart quite easily, there are videos on YouTube showing how to get things apart. The wrap is probably the cheapest option and cost me about £20 but you can't rush it and make sure everything is clean before you wrap it.

Get some samples before you decide as the pictures vs how it looks and how it suits the car vary a lot. 20180317_121718.jpeg20180317_134807.jpeg20180317_140023.jpeg20180317_135922.jpeg20180317_135950.jpeg20180317_135927.jpeg

Wrapping is the only option, unless you want to pay for custom order CF, which will cost astronomical amount. There no CF kits for UK IS as far as I know. There are quite a few for US version, but all cut-outs are opposite on those parts.

Does the silver trim that surrounds the gear selector come off or did you work around it?

How much wrap is needed to cover the items in your photo?

Looks brilliant.

Maybe one other option would be to buy the parts (from a scrappy) you want to wrap and do them and just replace those parts.  Means you can take your time and get it done properly.

Just a thought.
