Having stripped out air suspension

I have been emailed and supplier confirms new coils/dampers here Monday.

In the meantime I have used a super strong rubber sealant called (Master Bond)just to lightly coat the the suspension mounting points its used to install vehicle windscreens and then completely treated and rubber coated undercarriage to weather proof .

Reassembled rear bumper after rubber coating steel bumper crash bar and chasis frame normally covered up

And removed compressor fuse

Delved  into the dash and snipped a wire to remove warning light and bravely fired up the car on Jack's to check and run system diagnostic.

No warnings  no lights on that shouldn't be and all runs well, even on blocks!

Air suspension will permanently show the pretty green dot  next to Hi, and it does 😀

Have today thrown caution to the wind and ordered used working ML Amp to replace existing assumed faulty unit and also the wheels having a light refurb and ready for Tuesday.

2 good part worns replacing two of the existing tyres also once refurb to alloys done.

New wheel nuts ordered just to finish it off .

Soon as amp arrives I can get most of the boot loading area reassembled

Leaving me just to fit the new suspension

And drive off into the sunset !!!!

Lots of new photos attached ..

Don't forget lots of Air Suspension parts appeared on eBay Uk!!. check out

eastbourne1963, no idea who it is but they may help someone

WOW!

( Did you treat it underneath - if so, what did you use? )

Posted

here are photos of the products used

completely treated underneath and all wheel arches

total product cost about £100

estimate 4 cans of each product

and then a leisurely 4 hours or so to coat all multiple times
