SC430 Interior light

Does anyone know how to change the bulb in the interior light in an SC430? One of mine is not working but I can't see a way to remove the cover to replace the bulb and there is nothing in the handbook.

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

The lense should just prise off, if you look closely there should be some cutouts along the edge indicating where to insert a flat blade to release the clips.

You could also try searching for dome light bulb replacement as this is what Lexus call it.

The lence needs a screwdriver or something similar putting along the front edge...

this is mine...standard bulb and LED panel upgrade .

Sorry to say they can’t be bought I custom made them, the sc430 interior light connections are negative down the centre pin and positive around the side no LED bulbs are made that way.

i used a 16 LED panel and soldered it to the bulb metal cap...after first breaking the bulb off and clearing out the glue.

 

 

ive also done the boot LEDs but they are normal 501 bulb style.....much brighter 👍🏻
