I need a dump from an is300h instrument cluster 93c66 eeprom to put on mine. Mine had been messed with prior to me getting it.

Hi.

The mileage was stuck when I got the car, not moving a bit, although the trip counters did. which I've now corrected.

To be honest I don't know what might be missing from the instrument panel having never had an f sport before. But testing during trying to correct the mileage made things come on and off like check lda and check pcs. Easy because the car doesn't have those features.

I guess seeing a normal working dash would be a start to compare

If Lexus are anything like Mercedes the mileage will be stored in more than one location, to help fraud prevention. If only one location is corrected it will either freeze the odometer or only display dashes.

I think you need to get the codes read using Techstream. The same diagnostic system should be able to reset/correct the mileage after referencing secondary recording locations.

I have techstream.

The milegage is infact coded to one single eeprom.

But that was only part of the problem, when I got the car it had all manner of issues. Probably caused by tampering and not knowing how to correct ***** ups.

The main issues I still have are....techstream cannot reseed the ecus so I can add another key fob (i have only one working fob). The reseed or 'smart key reset' or 'entry/start reset' is missing when in techstream. So that's an issue since the spare key I bought has 'been coded to another car' or so techstream tells me anyway. Reseed the only way, if I only could find and then start the reseed process.

And can added newly fitted tpms to the car. Fails when typed in last one and press enter. Not sure what to do on that one.

Thanks.

That's actually pretty much the same as mine which I'm pleased about.

So the only issue I have is range mileage displaying nothing.

It may need time to calculate that I'm guessing 100 miles in its still blank. So I will give or more time. Unless someone knows different.

So I had a correction done on my is300h f sport, millage is not going up but the trip a and b is working. The garage said to bring it back to them next week. Is this the similar issue you had and what did you do to fix it?

Hi.

So mine was as your describing your is. The 93c66 IC SMD on the back of the dashboard clock pcb had to be reprogrammed. For that it needs to be removed since it can't be programmed in situ.

I bought a GQ 4x4 eeprom programmer and some blank 93c66 ic's.

I had some hex code for 55, 000 miles to program to it. The car is now at 63k. All working well.

Regards

Ian

So... What have "the garage" actually done. And what was it in for?

Millage correction was done, since then both trips works but the odo mine millage is stuck on the millage I wanted it changed to 95k. So am guessing he will need desolder the chip and put a new chip?

Dose the new chip need a file before it can be programmed and if so can you send me this file?

Am taking it back to him this week so il need to find out from him if he has blank chips and the correct software.

Couple of things.

Is your car exactly same as mine? 2014 is300h F sport?

Also your 95k is miles right not kilometers? It is British car?

I don't have file with 95k on it. I would think that a dump from mine and alter the correct hex could give you what you need.

The reason yours won't be counting is because in the hex there are 3 locations the hex is in. Two are identical and the 3rd is what one mile behind the other two. This gets updated then is copied to the other 2. That's the working theory. Dont hold me to this.

If all 3 are coded the same the mileage won't 'tick' up.

Mine is a is300h f sport 2014

British model in miles not km.

Can you send me the dump file which worked on your?

How easy would it be for the garage to alter your hex to match my mile?

Could you altar and send me a second file with 96k?

Could the garage change the 3rd hex code minus 1 mile which would be the 3rd hex?

Sorry for all the questions, but its a little frustrating atm and am only able to get information from you.

I have attached a file that definitely works.

So this file was 55,000 MILES and I clocked up 600 miles then saved off the eeprom content to create this file.

My car now has 63K which is not were you need to be, but I would suggest burn this to an IC and remount the IC on the PCB and test first. Upon successfully incrementing, I would then suggest a second go with 93xxx that you need.

Incidently where do you live? I am off work next two weeks and would happily help you out using what I know/have - I live in Hull. I have, brain, eeprom programmer and huge technical background in IT to draw on. Incidentally Lexus wanted over 1K for a replacement clock AND....mileage would be 00000 (hmm might be hard to sell then If I ever......ER NO THANKS I will cure it myself, 'it cant be done' - Well no, if your a lexus trained perhaps limits to what is taught, then I agree).. I did it so!!!

Perhaps PM me for contact detail

Ian

BTW the IC is an S93A66 (not 93c66 which may be on the original.) but there's little difference. Incase you wanted to buy some blanks.

Thanks bro, you been really helpful, I will give the garage the file, he said it's a easy fix, but I dont know if he kept the original save from the original ic or from current ic.

Am in Bristol, so am miles away. Lexus do overcharge and the technician are not fully trained. I wanted my rear seat belt alarms turned off (this can done done by lexus on the mk2) and they said it impossible but it can be done with the carista app using a bt obd.

Thanks again you been really helpful and il keep you updated, I hope it is a easy fix, the garage i used specialize in remaps and other vehicle programming.

Can't have done many Lexus cluster edits then perhaps

BMWs and Mercs mainly. I think on this model lexus its different because of the moving cluster. I dont know.

Ok it's done, the millage is now moving but my moving dial is not, the background moves across but the mechanical ring dont move.

He said it's he needs a different software and will be done next week.

I didn't realise this should be a problem, is it possible it's been programmed with a non f sport hex file?

The fact the background is moving would suggest it is the F-Sport software. Something else is not programmed correctly, to move the physical ring.

So couldn't be a mechanical issue?

Did you find the movement delicate?
