Good news, and a relief!  I remember years ago being told by an MOT tester that new rules concerning catalytic converters would put loads of cars off the road but it didn't, certainly not to the extent the scaremongering suggested.

The IS250 can suffer with visible 'stuff' eminating from the exhaust, I say stuff because it is certainly not smoke ( a by product of burning oil) but water vapour ( sometimes incorrectly referred to as Steam) and it was a concern as to weather mot testers would class this as "visible smoke" but Upto now no IS250 owner has commented on this since the change came about ( admittedly very recently) so credit to testers for knowing the possible difference!
