Screw fell out

Hi this screw from the picture attached fell from my car and made an awful noise as it bounced around. I’m thinking it’s from the cover tray below as posted. Can anyone confirm ?

It looks like one to me, in fact it's identical to one of mine that's in my shed instead of being under the car!

Looks very much like it.

You now have a hole where the fixing should be, so offer it up and see if it screws in?

Yes it’s one of the front ones, the others are normally bolt threads under the engine.

Brilliant, 15 years old and only one screw missing .............. you might get a few more as the years progress

Cheers guys for the quick responses you have put me at rest. 

The only reason I was concerned is because I get this strange clanging noise from the front when I break suddenly during a turn and I thought this was something to do with it. I’m taking it into the garage anyway to check the noise out. 

Think it might be the loose backing plate

Hi according to the mechanic it was the backing plate
