Hi all, lowering springs posts never seem to go away I know but really need some help with my 'new' 54 plate IS200 SE....... coilovers will be a bit overkill for what I need so going down the direction of springs, but, looking at the Tein ones  which still seem available it says SXE10 chassis type.... my log book says mine is GXE10!? Is it true these are the same?

Also, then with the eibach pro kit its 30mm all round and my car is currently lower at the back than the front on standard springs, so will that make it look uneven!?

What's people's advise on the best ones to get for an even, subtle drop suitable for daily use - don't want it on the floor!

SXE10 is the model code for a Toyota Altezza, which is basically the JDM version of an IS200. The Tein springs would fit your car.

I really liked the Eibach Pro-Kit on my IS200. The drop was almost perfect.

Has the ride been harder or different with these springs?

Just been on- line trying to get the Eibach pro kit springs for my car , but none available in UK!  Assume the is200 ones are not the same?

Ride was definitely firmer, but not too bad. Still very comfortable. That was with new OE-spec dampers.

I suspect the IS300-specific Pro-Kit probably has slightly higher rated front springs because of the bigger 2JZ engine. You might need to import some from the USA.

Appears that the Eibach Pro Kit springs are only available in USA, cost to import is stupid, so the only other option is the H&R springs but they drop 35m which I didn't really want.

Still looking into front springs from the Sportscross, as they are 312m in length as opposed to 333m for the saloon. Thing that bothers me is there is 2m difference in the diameter.

Only doing this as both front springs are broken, and both were only replaced 3 years ago with Blueprint springs which always appeared to sit to high.

So decided to to go H&R springs, lowered car by 35m all round which is perfect, ride is great as well:thumbup1:

H&R are a top Brand. Would love to see how your car looks with the 35mm drop.

Yeah, will take some pics when weather better. Got them from Demon Tweaks, really helpful with technical info about the springs, think they cost £240ish and another £220 to get them fitted.Mechanic who fitted them was impressed, guess he's seen enough to know good from bad. I was worried that the smooth ride would be messed up, but it still rides great, infact better, more stable, and likes going around corners faster now!

Hi all✌️.. I have apex 40mm lowering springs on my 99 is200 way too low and bumpy for where anyone lives in the uk .. also sank quite a bit I’d recommend anyone stay away going to go for some 30mm h&r heard they have the best ride out of the springs out there 👍🏻
