HI all. Can anyone help, my aircon has just started to pack up on my 2006 RX350. It will be lovely and cold for about 10 mins and then it will switch off, and displays a message saying 'Check Air Conditioning'. You can leave it off for 5 mins and switch back on and it will lovely and cold again but then switch off again.

I've plugged in Techstream to it this morning and when the fault occurred it generated a code which reads as 'Compressor Lock Sensor', which is code B1422. I phoned up Lexus and one told me there is no separate lock sensor and it is part of the compressor, another has told me that it is part of the compressor clutch which can be bought separately. Has anyone had this fault and is it a case of having to replace one of these expensive parts or could it be something else?

Thanks Steve

Did you try cleaning the cabin filter? In the back of the glove box... did mine the other day it was filthy! They don't take long to clog up
