Hi,

I have been reading around for a few days and wonder if anybody has any advice on the steps I should take.

I have a IS220D 2006 since I bought the car the VSC notification has been on and off and last week it came on and has not gone off, this was fine until yesterday I’m not sure if it’s connected but I reset all the windows as there where not working from the drivers door controls once this was fixed the power steering light came on and the steering was really heavy, I don’t know if the windows did something or it was just a coincidence, but the steering is now super heavy, my friend who has a garage code read it for me and it said the rear speed sensor needed replacing, is this a red herring ? How would this make the power steering fail ? I can get it done tomorrow but my worry is I’ll do this and it will just go on and on I’m just trying to understand how it’s all related.

Current lights on - abs, engine management, traction control,ps, vsc error, handbrake light.

Thanks-for all replies!

I think I have read in a previous post on the forum that some of the lights coming on can be associated with a blown brake light bulb ... worth a check

Is the Battery in a good state of charge? Windows needing resetting indicates that voltage was lost or too low for auto window system Also if power was lost to power steering system ( Electric ) then steering will revert to no assistance.
