Hello, I pick up my first ever Lexus today a 2005 GS300 SE with 68k genuine miles and fsh. Owning a Lexus has always been my dream after owning a couple of Hondas and various other cars over the years. I will no doubt be asking questions and looking for advice in the future on here! Thanks Rich.

Looks a nice car Richard, I'm sure you'll be very happy with it.

We have not long had our is300h, and so far are very pleased with it. Our last three cars have been Hondas. two Accords and a Civic Hybrid.

We would have probably bought another Civic if they sold them in this country.  Honda seem to have a strange policy as to what they will

sell in Europe, as opposed to what they will sell in the US.

Hi Hadrian, I had my Accord ictdi for 3.5 years and it never missed a beat then bought a 2012 Mondeo estate powershift and had loads of issues with the gearbox so got rid of that after 3 months then bought a petrol 2007 CRV which was a complete lemon and i have never had so many problems with a car but i think i was just unlucky,  the dealer i bought it from gave me a full refund i only returned the car yesterday i only had it 3 weeks and today i get my Lexus!

Welcome Richard.  I'm sure that you will get a great deal of pleasure from your new car.  I am on my 4th Lexus and have been really pleased with all of them.

Enjoy.

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

Looks very nice and very low mileage, just keep up with the services and it will be fine, cam belt should have been done by now?

I need a new set of discs and pads any suggestions on the best place to start looking?

Bembo and Mintex seem popular for aftermarket but don’t dismiss OEM parts as these are often sold by Lexus dealers at a good discount. Lexus Birmingham usually have a selection on eBay or give them a ring and haggle.

Thanks for that managed to get Genuine Lexus discs and pads for the front and a touch up paint kit for £210 delivered from Birmingham Lexus.
