Looking to buy IS F, test drive as a passenger required...

Hi Guys,

I am looking to buy Lexus IS F. I am from St Helens.

Around 6 years ago I've been driving SC430 for about two weeks and I loved it.

Last 12 years Volvo user (S60 and V70 - barn on wheels).

I've been gathering info about IS F couple weeks and decided that this car may be my next daily driver.

I know that some of you thinks about swapping IS F for something else.

I am looking for someone who would be so kind and give me a short test drive (me as a passenger).

One of the cars whose I am considering to buy is from Gloucestershire.

I would like to avoid so long trip if my imaginations about the car are misleading.

Anyone who is closer to me and willing give me a ride please advice.

May cover petrol expenses if that will be required. 🙂

P.S. I am off work only this weekend if that matters.

Hi Paul,

I could stretch my budget till £22000 but more likely I would buy till £17000.

Been in contact eith Ray-ISF as I am after his car I believe.

I just want to avoid travel there and find out that IS C is not for me. 

Was that Lexus from Cheltencham yours?

It can be car with high milage as I prefer high milage as long as got full history than car with lower milage which been seen sitting in the garage...

Any thoughts?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Tom. All being well I should be the owner of Ray’s car by this time tomorrow. Heading down from Leeds in the afternoon.

I wasn’t even planning on buying an ISF, the plan was to get an E46 M3 but then I spotted his ad on Pistonheads and I regret selling my last one.

Hehehe... I read your post around 2 hours after my first post and something was telling me that I missed the opportunity.

I am happy that you pulled the trigger and bought it.

All upgdrades make it very good deal.

I wanted to see Rays car but due to work and family commitment couldn't do that in past two weeks.

I will keep looking.

@Tomag23 Tomasz yes mate the Lexus Cheltenham one was mine, and though I say so myself is a great example. Here's one of my favourite pics of her taken by @Rusty Crobar off here on a trip out last October, she's been there a few months so no doubt a deal can be had. I've pm you my mobile and some info of one or two on here who live in your neck of the woods who maybe able to help with a ride along 👍

Is your ISF black by any chance because I always see a black one parked outside a house in Rainhill when going to My mates. Also there’s a blue one local as well.

Yes that’s mine, the dirty black one with the 111S number plate, a legacy of when I had the Elise.

The shiny blue one is Dave’s.

Defo different beast than  IV gen of GS430h which I tested other day.
