@Big Rat too bloody right I do mate! Although the think you do have abit more room to haggle when coming in against something else no?

Did you get a good price on your's when you swapped for the RCF?

Hows that new fuel pump treating you?

The LC500 shares the same problem apparently 🤔

Exact same engine in a more expensive trolley. Isf has different pumps on a similar engine. You should be OK :)

Denso make the pumps and from what I can deduce this is the third version issued to these engines. something internal is not up to the job.

It's taken a while to come up with the recall so hopefully they identified the issue and fixed it. Most problems occurred in the USA where they have more mileage and more track use.

Car feels better to me.

If you want to practice your haggling skills then ratty is the man :)

Apparently Arnold Clark give very reasonable money compared to Lexus dealers :-)

Do you really want to give an IS-F to arnold clark though?

Yes, maybe if you didn't really care about the car but no chance if you do.

@rayaans all depends on what value you feel is acceptable for caring for the car. Few hundred quid /1k? then yeah perhaps it should go to a specialist / main dealer. At over 5k difference though I'm afraid I know where mine is going.

That is very true. £5k seems daft though. Are you sure it's even right?

Usually Lexus dealers tend to be on the money or not far off the book value. They usually use HPI valuations formerly CAP.

They all make a profit of £3-4k in the end but it'd odd. Unless Arnold Clark are pricing it at like £35k 😂😂

They have an online calculator similar to webuyanycar that gives an instant quote then you choose a dealership to have the car inspected / value adjusted. I'm interested to see what it goes on the market for.

When webuyanycar are offering 2.5k more than Lexus (Scottish Lexus Dealers- they are both owned by the same group) you start to get the feeling they are either not interested or just trying their luck.

@ThebigC Might be worth trying a few different places other than Lexus for a valuation or buy your car scheme. Would be interesting to see how the figures stack up vs a trade in against a GSF through Lexus.

Probably a bit of both!

The dealers have always given me a price that's a bit more than WBAC.

Webuyanycar has just offered me £12k which is less than I'd accept for trade in at any Lexus dealership, particularly if they are offering £2.5k less.

Car has 75k and full service history

@Jgtcracer I tried webuyanycar just out of curiosity more than anything as I know they can be low. I guess Edinburgh didn't want the car on its own but I suspect if indeed trading it for another lexus from them it would have been better.
