Hello everyone

my name is tony and am totally new to lexus cars even tho i have admired for many years.

I. once owned a is200 04 plate for a few weeks but my family  circumstances changed and needed a bigger car so never got the chance to properly enjoy until now.

My last car was a toyota landcruiser colarado to witch i owned for over 3yrs and so reliable no matter what the weather throws at us.

I have stuck with the toyota partnership getting a lexus and hope its just as reliable and looks after me.

The lexus i got is the is250 se sport i believe on a 55plate with 132000 miles .

M idea was to find me a car with many features ( satnav,heated seats,leather trim,reverse camera,etc ).

My search found many cars but could i find a diesel locally with all these features no and with fuel prices going up i found a is250 petrol.

I will gladly share some pics when the weather improves so for the time being I'm just saying hello and glad to be a member now.

Welcome to the forum Tony and well done sourcing yourself an IS250, they have a good rating amongst owners.

Will be checking back to see pics :wink3:

Welcome fella and hope you enjoy your 'new' motor as much as I do, I too was a long time admirer of the brand and recently circumstances allowed me to indulge so I found ( after doing lots of homework and travelling) a super 250 with all the toys and the only real available two optional extras. Well pleased.

You may find out ( if you read enough post's on this forum) how lucky you were to end up getting the petrol mark over the DERV in time to come. I'm not saying the diesel is a bad car but the amount of problems that seem to occur from owners is quite high compared to the petrol version and we all know how expensive Lexus hours/parts are so the world renown trait of diesel reliability is not 100% embedded in the IS d's, shame to say but it just isn't.
