Those pictures are obviously taken from a monitor screen. I think this dealer gets offered cars from other dealers and eulogises them in adverts while slapping on a healthy profit.

Personally, I think the price is way too high, you would just be paying extra for his next exotic holiday !

So that Lexus I was interested in has been sold to another dealer. But he said he will keep an eye out for another. How he expected me to leave a deposit before he purchased it, without pictures or even a registration is a little odd.

But he’s confirmed that it is indeed that black one I found that’s £8.5k that’s a grand more than what he wanted. Could of been sorted if only he’d of sent me the Reg and pictures.

It will always be the case that the dealer will be working with many buyers, even for the same car, and he will ALWAYS try and press to sell the car as quickly as possible and for as much money as possible.  I have found, on more than one occasion, that I have made a journey toe see a car only to find it had been sold and really the salesman could not give a monkey's as he's made his money.  This is especially true for cars where it is a seller's market and I suggest the IS250 is currently in that bracket at the moment.  Many people are starting to realise that the older Lexii are a very, very good car - reliable, not that expensive to maintain if you go to an indie and also the cache of saying you drive a Lexus still sounds good.

Exactly the moment he emailed I asked him for pictures and the Reg but nothing all week, now it’s sold and for a grand more, bit of a joke.

I think it may just be the photo, it had a lot of work done and it's a good price.

I’m trying to find one that’s a reasonable distance from Liverpool. Most of the ones are down south, little bit too far. That black one would be been perfect. Damn it.

I really really  wanted a rx300/350, but just like you i couldn't find a really good one with low miles in the 4-5k bracket

So I bought the is250se-l. I had a lovely is200, 7 years ago and should never have sold it.wanted another lexus ever since.

You will find one

And I will find that rx300.😊

That one is Not a SE-L model, as the SE-L is the only model that has the Yamaha high lacquer Wood trim inserts.

Yes but they are heavy money and I'd like to think you could get the same sort of car for less ' up North'

They are Paul, that low mileage one I can see going tbh. I am still waiting for one to come up. As I am in no rush, but that black one he has is the one my dealer mate supposedly had, but he never sent me any pictures or a reg, But he also wanted a grand less, and I reckon with a bit of haggling and a part exchange, I could of got it a lot less.

That would have been nice. black on black leather and the facelift model as well by the looks ( indicator repeaters in door mirrors) but what will be will be and you won't supposed to have it, thats the way I look upon these things. so they are cheaper up North then? bring 'em down here and add a grand!
