Shock absorber replacement.

My Suspension is OK, but reading various posts about the cost of replacement and the difficulty finding suppliers other than a main dealer made me wonder.   Are these no good?  They don't seem particularly expensive to me.

Phil,

The various posts refer to the GS450h dampers not GS300. These are much cheaper.

The post 2008 GS300 used the same as the GS450h

I guess the difference in price comes from the fact the cheap ones doesn't have variable damping force setting.

I'm presuming you would get some warning message on the dash if these were fitted? Knowing our luck that could mean a MOT fail :(

Really wish stuff like this and TPMS could be coded out...

As long as the actuator motor is still in place on top of the shock strut no warnings will be given..
