Having had all of Mk1, 2 and now 3 I think the Mk3 is really the better car .........  nice to know $$$$bns has been spent on me by someone :yahoo:

Stuart, there's another post here somewhere about the highest mileage Ls430 and a guy in Australia is running his Series 1 and 2 cars still, the series 2 ( same as the Mk2 i assume ) has covered 1,100,000 kms but with full Lexus servicing forever ..

so yours will last so long as you wish it too ................. :yahoo:

I wonder why Lexus never offered Traction Control either as a standard fitment as in Japan or an optional extra in the UK.

Admittedly the system on mine is somewhat crude compared with today’s standards with just brake and throttle applications to get the back end in line with the front again but it does work.

I switched to a Ser 4 because it had Traction control, (after serious wiggle in rain in Ser 3 car!)
