Looks like it had a new speedo fitted at some point, also strange how every MOT has been carried out by a different garage when long term owners tend to stick with the same place.

Not much detail in the ad for a dealer and the price is ridiculous.

There is absolutely no way that car is worth £8,500. I’d say £3,000 at the top end if it’s mint. Very little info in the ad except it apparently “Drives as it should”. There is only one exterior pic of the car. For a car as expensive as this you’d think the dealer would put a bit more effort into the ad.

Well there is enough for me in the MOT history & the ''no advisories ever'' history, below,

9 April 2010.......... PASS.........Mileage 42,967 miles

Let’s also not forget the MOT history is only half the story too, it doesn’t tell you the true mechanical condition. I wonder why it needed a new speedo at such a low mileage?

So does that mean the speedo has done 50000 odd thousand miles but the engines done more?

I think the speedo was replaced at 40 odd thousand miles, the rest is on new speedo meaning car has a total of 55k miles assuming it’s all legit.

I’d like to know more about the service history too and also the cambelt should’ve been done at the astronomical price being charged.

It seems that it’s disappeared from autotrader now, make of that what you will!!!

A look at my LS400's MOT history would see that a few years back the mileage

fell about 40,000 miles from the previous year. This was not a new speedo but the

MOT examiner reading the trip meter !
