This is the third GS I've seen, and in all honesty it's hard to see how I could have found a better one.  It really is just about in showroom condition.  68k full Lexus history.  Maybe not everyone's choice but I particularly wanted cream leather.  Hopefully this will be our means of getting to Austria in the spring.

Well wear! It's identical to mine including the wheels, they are a beautiful car to drive that's like brand new!

Well done Phil, it looks like you've found yourself a stunning example.

Nice one.

That is a remarkably clean looking car, especially considering it is 12 years old.  A credit to its former keepers.

Great looking GS300 and i know I'm bias but i like the colour combo.

What a stunning car, I love the colour combo too, , a sunroof would be the icing on the cake, the one thing i don't have on my RX sadly

Thanks for the comments chaps!  The dealer also had the wheels professionally refurbed and it has excellent Michelin tyres.  Apparently one of the two partners is a member of the LOC, they specialise in Lexus (Trust motor company Bournemouth)

They had a couple of lovely IS on the forecourt.  Actually, I think they're the best used car dealers I've ever dealt with, all cars beautifully prepped.  It's a shame not all dealers are like it!  Well worth the 85 mile trip.  I'd certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a used Lexus, no hard sell, just very laid back but professional.

Congratulations Phil!!! Looks like a really nice example and hope that it is a suitable replacement for the LS430 and that it gives you many miles of trouble free motoring.

The other advantage over the 06 plates I saw advertised is the tax as it's £300-is as opposed to £520.  Daft really as it's the same car as far as I can see.

Very nice indeed Phil, you certainly have found a cracking GS there, hope it gives you many years of trusty service and enjoyment.

When I bought my GS I looked at an 06 model before buying the one I have now, the tax was over £500. Mine is a couple of months older (55 plate) and it's £300 ish, a big difference for a few months!

If you don't mind my asking, what sort of price did you pay?

That a lovely looking Car and to my eyes very modern in its design (well I'm not keen on the latest Grilles on Lexus).  Very envious.

Someone said to have a Sunroof would be the icing, but head room i suspect is even lower than an LS400.  I have to have an anti-static bag velcro'd to the headliner to stop my little amount of hair rising and creating a spark when I get out of the Car to fill with Petrol. Sunroofs or Moonroofs get very little use in the UK I would think? I rarely  open mine and as a Car gets older the drains start to break up, etc, etc.

Also, good  they ditched those seperated lights on the boot which personally I thought as weird. But Beauty as they say...

I paid £5,600.  I know I could have got one for a bit less but I believe the one I have is as good as it's possible to get.

Never ever used the sunroof on any car that has AC so I don't really see the point.  Now I've got that image of your head sparking in my mind!!

I have to say having a sunroof is great as it lets in more light making the car much nice to drive during the day.

But....it makes my very grey hair look even greyer!

Better to go with a car that you like rather than spec, yours is a good looking car & well priced.

I previously owned a BMW 530i E60 for 7 years (163k) & for about 4 of those I wanted a GS300 SE-L Silver with a black interior, local & a good dealer not some "by the side of the road buy from a auction & flip the next day type" it took me a while to find one but it was worth the wait.

My 5 series always seamed to leak for somewhere no matter how many times it was fixed so lets hope the Lexus is better so far loving the spec has everything I've always dreamed about having on a car.

Interestingly two people have said in the past couple of days the shape looks a bit like a Jag!

My GS450h was the SE-L model which gives you the sunroof, I’m over 6 ft tall and occasionally my hair would brush the roof, same for the LS400. The LS430 I have now is different though, loads of headroom, even with the sunroof, in fact the whole car is just cavernous!!!
