Sorry if this has come up recently but I did do a search before posting !

I need new tyres for my 400 and when looking at the blackcircles.com site there are 13 different makes listed ranging from £82 to £163. The car is standard, I do 30K miles a year of mainly fast A roads, and do high speeds when conditions permit.

I'm sticking to the D8zs as they were developed specifically for the LS400. They're absolutely silent. I've test driven the SC430 and there's a lot more tyre roar which is down largely to the tyre pattern.

My only complaint about the suspension is that you do feel all the bumps. I was once in the back of a Jag and didn't notice we were on the kerb, though it was low speed of course.
