Replacing the factory HID bulb with an LED is illegal and will fail MOT

I believe the bulb is a D4S. Change both at the same time especially as there may be a colour difference.

If you want an LED look go for colour of 5000k

what is the current colour on the factory hid bulb?

any recommended brands of aftermarket bulbs with 5000k colour?

thanks.

They were probably 4300k semi yellow ones.

I would go osram nightbreaker or philips.

They won't be bright white but they will be whiter than normal ones.

You can also get osram cool blue intense which is LED like

i find the hid lights much yellower and less bright than my previous is250 sport.

Are the rx hid light bulbs easy to change or are they like the is250s which can only be carried out by a mechanic?

I'd probably let a mechanic do it as you'd be messing with high voltages. Shouldn't take longer than alf hour though

Those bulbs look very bright and good. Will installing these bulbs void the lexus warranty?

are hid 6000k bulbs illegal in the uk?

Yes they are but they make look too blue to the eye. Is probably stick with 5000k
