Hi there.

When I bought my 400 the previous owner had had two new keys made Up, they work in regards to unlocking and locking but the unlock boot button doesn't seem to do anything.

I'm under the assumption just pressing the button on the key fob should pop the boot unlocked so I can then just pull it open, or have I got my wires crossed and it works in some other fashion?

Thanks in advance

I have the ls430 and I find that I have to press and hold the boot key until it opens rather than just pressing and letting go. I don't know if this applies to the 400 though.

Knowing Lexus it was designed this way to prevent accidental opening of the boot if you pressed the wrong button.

I'm a bit like that sometimes - 0-60 in 2.5 secs & thats just reversing out the garage.
