So just got the 2 4 1 warranty on the rx450 but on them checking it over before giving it to me they said the front discs are flaking and new pads needed at £380 competitive they said, I can get blueprint discs and pagid pads for £110 all in. Now I have done my own brakes for years so not shy to a bit of filth or work, what I want to know is has anybody done their own as I cannot find any info on doing these on this vehicle. the only info I can gleam is without a tech stream don't bleed the brakes but what I dont know is if shoving the pistons back would knack the regenerative braking system. If anyone can assist I would be grateful.

They will be the same as brakes you have done in the past.

Replace the slider guide bush and keep the shims for future use if you do not refit them as pagid tend to have one bonded the the pad.

I would go for coated discs to prevent corrosion on no contact parts in the future.

Spin the wheel before taking off caliper as the brakes can be applied even if the car is off.
