What is this funny noise?

Hi everyone. Had a weird noise start up this morning which I have never had before. It is coming from behind the clock. Initially thought a CD was jammed as it is a loud whirring but I ejected the CD and the sound remained. I have attached a quick video of it. Please bear in mind that the engine was switched off. It disappeared around a minute or so after I turned off the engine. Car is under warranty so not too worried but just didn't want to take a trip to my dealership if someone can tell me it is something simple.

Sounds like it could be an issue with one of the heater servo motors.

If it's under warranty then have the dealer take a look 'cos fixing them can be a right fiddly job.

I have a similar noise on mine. If I remain in the car after I've stopped the engine, a minute or so later I hear a fan type of noise from somewhere in the dash. It's not very loud and stops after another few minutes.

I put it down to some heating/ventilation thing that's meant to happen. Maybe heater flaps or whatever.

It's not something I worry about as it sounds like a design feature rather than a fault.

I've just listened to the vid again and that doesn't sound like a normal noise you'd hear when the flaps adjust.

Sounds like the actual fan is out of balance
