Aftermarket tierods - Mk4 LS400

im looking to get a local garage to replace the inner and outer tierods on my mk4 ls400.

Are aftermarket parts ok for this purpose? I could supply them genuine Lexus parts, however with my cynical hat on, there's no guarantee they will fit the parts I supply, and I'm unlikely to get underneath to check what's been fitted.

I'd be happy to fit aftermarket parts if they came from say Blueprint or similar, but I'd be wary of parts from eBay or the like when it comes to steering.

I'm curious. Is this just preventative maintenance? I've never replaced an inner tie road as they generally don't wear much IME. May as well get new dust boots if you are doing the inners.

The tracking guy said he couldn't adjust as the outer rod was effectively welded together .
