Awesome work there mate that's going to be an absolute beast! I'd personally be putting that kit on just had a peepers at it fitted it looks immense so can only imagine what it'd be like in person I can't imagine there's many about like that either 😀

Thanks matey 👍, yeh that is exactly how i felt about it to begin with, it is a stunning kit and like you say not many about but ........ something about the standard look of the is300. If it doesnt sell i will just keep hold of it for a while and see if my mind changes, atleast ive got it there incase.

Small update, my valve covers are finally back! Good things come to those that wait, they have turned out fantastic!

The pictures really do not do this colour justice at all especially the far away shot of the bay, the finish is flawless. The work was done by maldon shot blasting and powder coating http://www.ctc-powder-coating.co.uk/ there colour range is outstanding with alot of wild colours.

Now i know its looks a bit disjointed at the minute but once its all done it will look great (in my opinion of course 😎)

Brake calipers will also be this colour or very similar so it wont be the only orange bit on the car. Roll on black friday for some more parts

Sorry for the lack of updates guys. Been pretty busy with work, been on hol to ney york and also decided to wait for black friday deals before buying anymore but tbh it was a bit of a dissapointment! I did manage to start to gather bits for the fuel system, ive had to sit down and pretty much plan the entire thing every fitting, line, angles and measurements.

My intercooler also came.....20181129_213536.thumb.jpg.e95bc6773cf73ca90a348eed08e57c04.jpg20181129_213556.thumb.jpg.bd34adaee4427524a3953aae5eb67ecd.jpg

31 inches long, 12 inches high and 4 inches thick.... that should do 😂. The other side has no logo so can use it either way. Once ive got all my fuel bits together i will have another update.

Graphic pictures of big inter-coolers should be okay on a Saturday night 👍

So i attempted a trial fit of the intercooler ...... this thing is so big!!!!

20181202_140937.thumb.jpg.8a7db1d4d9bb2db7aeb0832fedbfba43.jpg

As you can aee this is sitting quite far below the bottom of the bumper, cant move it up any higher as its already hitting the underside of the flat setion where the top grill attaches and i want to keep the look of a top grill. Also its not allowing the bumper to sit correctly so its pulling it away from the wings in the corners so there was only 1 thing for it........

20181202_161321.thumb.jpg.3ad7f816e6c2e40fd4b71d06f0c1de55.jpg

Plans are to now cut a little bit more away at each side to allow the intercooler pipe work the fit. Once its all good and allowing enough room for everything to fit, the gap at the front will be covered using a front lip that will sit low enough the cover the bottom of the cooler.

This has now created a couple of new issues.... i will now have to do away with the factory bonnet catch meankng im going to have to use some nice looking bonnet pins. Also the power steering cooler i was going to leave as it is but because there is a bend in the middle of it its not allowing the cooler to sit back enough so ive ordered a nice looking cooler to fit up behind the top grill. More to come form this.

Also had a load of parts come for my fuel system, just waiting on a few more bits.

Ah that bring back memories, wriggling all the parts into place and getting everything to line up around a bigger intercooler.

Looking good though, well done [emoji106]

Oh yes theres going to be plenty of that, i was dreading the whole fabrication side of this project, chopping and grinding but tbh im actually really enjoying figuring things out and making it fit

So my universal intercooler brackets came and its turned out quite well, although i do need a couple more brackets to secure the bottom of the cooler and another for the top to brace it.

20181212_174423.thumb.jpg.209476d13392f58684534256aea740f4.jpg20181212_174438.thumb.jpg.6098cd146a38a1c82f16ee20199aac74.jpg20181212_180821.thumb.jpg.d4ab3774b0b33f961f2876d52263ce0d.jpg20181212_182443.thumb.jpg.7191f13df96034cdf29497d8aedd56d0.jpg

As you can see on the last 2 pics there is an extra brace to make it a little more sturdy just need another now to attach the other side. Also tried it both ways to see which way i prefer.... im thinking the blank side to make it a little more stealthy.

Next up, more chopping of the bumper to accommodate its full height and area for the boost pipes to go.

It's a shame the top mounts are so long but once you get bottom mounts in place then it'll secure it nicely.

Adding the pipework will add more bracing, so that cooler isn't going anywhere.

Good work.

So ive managed to finish off the bottom mounts for the intercooler so now it is pretty much solid and also managed to fit the new power steering cooler. Just waiting on the other cross support for the top of the intercooler.

20181216_004601.thumb.jpg.7ff7ad036201bce66c00f05b18d868fa.jpg20181216_004615.thumb.jpg.d4f8916df03b727d2e0f6952036dd451.jpg20181215_152115.thumb.jpg.9b920469b396c4e58e6c072ae65cfc5d.jpg20181215_152121.thumb.jpg.2b9a9be26ca6b07c53fc1d0f0803c6aa.jpg

all i had to do for the steering cooler was bend the pipes up at the correct angle and shorten the original hoses. Just need to get a couple of support clips to hold it in place now.

Also had this turn up.....

20181213_220849.thumb.jpg.3c2d9b7f4fb926d7c59b984b88483b94.jpg

Just waiting on a couple of more fittings to come and i will then have all my parts ready to make a complete fuel system. So more updates to come.

So i finally have all my fuel system parts ....20181220_122346.thumb.jpg.cfdd96d292b54626cc07a0cae1329d0a.jpg

And today i made a start, 1st up was to remove the fuel tank....... easy.20181223_193537.thumb.jpg.74a3e0b67a2ddb79461bc223443b898d.jpg

Covered all the holes to stop the smell of fuel taking over, tomorrows job is to drain the tank and pull the pump out and see whats got to be done.

Atlast i have plenty parts to crack on with this build!

Will the standard tank hold enough fuel to keep this baby on the circuit for more than 20 laps or should you consider a bigger fuel tank?

Announce the date for the Nurburgring tour and ticket sales should fund an eight man pit crew + fuel tanker.

No pressure but you may need to get this finished by the end of March 2019 for a trouble-free passage to Germany.

Yeh march maybe a struggle. Yeh brexit is going to change things up a little i guess 🙈

So carrying on with the fuel system stuff i gave the tank a good clean off as it was out and it came up pretty well! I will be giving that heat shield a spray too once its all back in.

20181224_152424.thumb.jpg.7fe650cc158b8c5cddd38ebcd4519880.jpg20181224_153724.thumb.jpg.95137a81bd3e7e6a7706fd6646118922.jpg20181224_153731.thumb.jpg.4ea6bb7175bf5f474b25bc31559d550b.jpg

Then pulled the hanger out and stripped it down to have a look at what will need cutting and chopping to make it work.

20181224_155214.thumb.jpg.514704b63e50c9216c71acee3cb3842f.jpg20181224_155229.thumb.jpg.1a70dff642c2b04bd151e0ec0ca9762c.jpg20181224_155920.thumb.jpg.6ab036c79a170a598857ecdbd08b8c83.jpg

Took a quick snap to compare the walbro 450lph and the standard pump!20181224_160616.thumb.jpg.b6acf563943499ce8ca5e71ba7dda757.jpg

Next up was to mark up and drill the holes in the top of the hanger for the bulkhead fittings.20181224_171102.thumb.jpg.7781724b1170186a736374bfd17318a3.jpg20181224_171334.thumb.jpg.c748c8576b4487ceabe48a6db7ffce2b.jpg20181226_165803.thumb.jpg.ab8d8bec119f64dd2a0e7e8531f6d87f.jpg20181226_165809.thumb.jpg.f333c6e1c5988d4a00c6d4c308e260b8.jpg

The return line then had to be hooked up to the SARD jet pump killer, allowing me to use the full tank capacity pulling fuel from the other side. This replaces the stock syphon jet.

20181226_174607.thumb.jpg.0695e66d7fa0ef529160b55f82d4769a.jpg20181226_182839.thumb.jpg.f4a1d28fe459d0fb0f750b47790214bd.jpg

The take off pipe facing down on the left it what connects to the rubber hose in the tank to pull the fuel. You can also see in this pic that the pump is fitted too. This had to be removed again and i had to trim the plastic at the bottom of the hole to move the pump up higher, when refitting the hanger it was sitting too high not allowing the retainer to go back on.

I then had to cut the steel retaining plate that holds the hanger down the accomodate the new fittings.20181229_163007.thumb.jpg.454b380ac59cb3eb6bc1877598ad39e9.jpg

I found this very tricky and its a little rough around the edges, a bit of paint and its looking alot better. Dont know why i stressed about it though because its under the back seats 😂. Still more to do on the pump, i have got to get some fuel resistant conmectors and covers for the pump plug wires. Once thats done i can have a good look at the tank breather system and mock up the lines to the tank.

So its been a while.... got more bits done then fuel system is almost complete apart from 2 small line to the rail. I will let the pics do the talking....20190209_114433.thumb.jpg.4ae8be253f857d83d379542b42fdfb0e.jpg20190209_123020.thumb.jpg.a689128b06d1e9aec0af49e1ebe0bafc.jpg20190209_140532.thumb.jpg.8aeb50497339b4e99c34b5cce51a5bc1.jpgimageproxy.php?img=&key=c3a43f52b720213e20190209_183559.thumb.jpg.1aad9de69369692a4ce91b3527b683e6.jpg20190209_183551.thumb.jpg.b5d1fdd9aa975b7527b2b7b4293704b5.jpg

20190209_183457.thumb.jpg.554a1482d9ed71e363fc799b6cfa2e63.jpg20190209_140532.thumb.jpg.cfe22c9f5b417cdd65a227a18ea3ead5.jpg20190209_165012.thumb.jpg.dfa1969dab49235dd5cf16bf801db9ae.jpg20190209_164931.thumb.jpg.c25300d5e5d35328706afd784b645d88.jpg20190209_164959.thumb.jpg.195d0ce4ed54017381e383867c9b1489.jpg

so there she is in all her glory.... using a walbro 450lph pump, -8AN feed into a "Y" block then 2 -6AN feeds to each end of the rail. A -6ANfron the rail to the AEM fuel pressure regulator. -6AN return from the pressure regulator to the tank. Injectors are deatschwerks 1200cc.
