Rob, I just want to thank you for this thread. I've spent around 2 hours going through and reading everything. It's an absolute GOLD MINE since I plan on doing pretty much everything you've done except... on YouTube.

This will be one of my main inspirations and guides for when I tackle the same kind of stuff.

Really, really amazing results and someday I hope to see it in person. What an absolute monster of a build, and done so tastefully! Unreal. Great job! 😁

THANK YOU!

Thanks mate, i appreciate the kind words. Yeah i will be knocking around the shows/meets so we will cross paths at somepoint.

Best is still to come as its in for paint and mapping pretty soon!

Well ive managed to hit another milestone...... the very last piece has been fitted to the engine and i can now close the bonnet ready for the paint work to be completed.

Nuke Performance catch can now fitted and lines installed. Ive decided to recirculate the breather now on the recommendation of the tuner as its not breathing heavy at all, although the original plan wasnt too.

So to mount it i removed the passenger headlight and drilled into the front member above the light and fitted to rivnuts.

This is it... the final look of the bay, 3yrs and 7 months to get to this point and shes mechanically ready!

Its all becoming real now the end is in sight

Excellent, well done Rob, that must be worth a small celebration. 🥂  Probably qualifies you for promotion in the Lex-celebrity jabbing order too. Session or two on the rollers and then off to the summer meets.

It is actually pretty close to a ford colour, Focus ST orange, it has a gold flake in there. Is that an old F1 Cossie lump?

Damn, thats a masterpiece of engineering!!!

Isn't it just?! Apparently, every one of the 100 car run was sold within 48 hours of it being announced. That's the draw of Gordon Murray, I guess!

[apologies for taking the thread off track]

Finally finished apart from 1 last job which is out of my hands.

Here a few pics of the process for the front bumper. This was a 2nd hand bumper which was green and it needed a little work to get it up to scratch. I had also removed the plinth with the intention of having a plate made to fit the recess, this left 2 square holes to patch up.

This was done by cutting 2 pieces of plastic the exact same size and plastic welding them into the holes, this then had filler skimmed over them to tidy it up aswell as all the little stone chips.

Quick lick of paint....

Over the moon with it, also had the rear bumper, front splitter, washer caps and mirror covers done too.

Then I got the genuine Altezza 3 bar grill fitted with a genuine black Altezza badge, I've had this tucked away ready for this moment. Yeah yeah it's not an Altezza...... I know..... am I trying to be and Altezza???..... no but this grill looks so much better than any other grill out there for these cars, imo of course.

This is it, next update will be the dyno results. I'm damn excited, almost 4yrs at it and I just can't believe ive actually seen it through to the end.

Cheers mate, I feel a little lost now on my days off with no car to work on and just waiting for the dyno. Closer to the day I will just give it a complete once over to make sure I've not missed anything.

I wonder if the big LOC meet will be re scheduled.

@rob_clio172Boris is happy to authorise crowd control costs for the meet but wants to know which summer month would suit you best?
