Lexus LS430 No Sound from Audio - Amplifier OK

I HAVE SAME . WHAN I STARTED LEXUS LS 430 2006 HEARED A VERY HIGH SOUND FROM ALL SPEAKERS AND AFTER THAT NO SOUND FROM RADIO,TAPE,CD HEAD UNIT IS SHOWING RADIO CHANNELS, CD , TAPE STATUS.... TRUNK 30 AM FUSE IS FINE , HELP

Today while starting my car , Radio voice starts with a high noise for about 1/2 min. and every thing goes silent after that until next start .... Can someone had something like that before to confirm its ML Amp.

My point is i like to hear music as just very low dreamy background . so is it worth it to pay that kind of crazy money for repair-replace Amp. for that 15 years old car ( i like it ) . is there any easy way to hear music from ( that high end sound system) without Amp. even bypassing all that system with a another cheap even portable looks nice or even hidden one (hence that 2 days back my touch screen head unit not responding at all ) 😏

The amplifier may be uniform to other Toyota models worth doing some research and trawling the breakers yards.

THANKS all about your nots, I was thinking to replace OEM head unit by android one. but I will not get most of benefits without audio ..... I' m thinking to get portable good Sony speaker with that android head unit instead of paying more money on that dead ML Amp , A my on the right way ?!

What about this android head unit where there is so many models in market with about 400$ ... Can i replace OEM one by this ? what about ML Amp.? can be bypassed ? or audio can work without amp ?

I've looked at the possibility of getting one, if is was simply a plug and play system I may do it but there just isn't enough info out there. Either way you still need your amp to work.

YES The-Acre

As in some sites they said its plug and play and no need for any cutting for OME harness ... but sad to know that i still need that ML amp. to run audio😨

Maybe it's worth taking your amp out and seeing if you can get it repaired, most can be fixed. If I could find a UK based company for an Android unit I would get one, I'm just a bit unsure of buying one from overseas and finding it doesn't fit.

Have you tried using amplifiers by https://www.myamplifiers.com/? They offer a wide choice of good ones, have purchased there several times. The boosters are great.

Hey I’m currently having the same issue you had but everytime I replace the fuse for the amp it blows as soon as it goes in or when i hook the Battery back up

I had the same issue on my 430 re blowing fuse and had my amp repaired by United Radio in NY. Internal short causes high current draw on these and hence the blowing fuse.

The repair was $475 and it was $145 to ship it back including VAT. Turnaround was pretty quick.

There is plenty of information on the US forum and the dealers in the US use this company for amp repairs.

Hello guys, y'all seem to be great with the radio and my is that someone helps me out.

So my touchscreen in the LS 430 2001 doesn't function very well because only the upper of it actually works so it impossible to access all the other options using the touchscreen since only half of it works and whenever I turn my radio on its always says AUDIO OFF and I really don't know what to do.

Sounds like the Amp has either blown it's fuse, or else died. Fuse is easy enough to check.
Otherwise, send the amp off to a specialist to be repaired.
