v.s.c light

hi all, have got the v.s.c light on plus the red triangle and the amber skiddy car and engine check light , have searched through normal threads and have checked the petrol cap and oil level and all well , just had a a nice drive from poole to sidmouth and the limp mode is definetly not engaged , do i just need to disconnected the negative terminal of the Battery for ten minutes and see if the codes disappear , thanks in anticipation for any replies

Hi cidersteve, 

Buy an OBD reader off eBay, its pretty cheap. It will tell you the problem and allow you to reset the warning. 

My hunch is that it could be an oxygen sensor.

As above, the OBD readers are so cheap, I leave one in the glovebox of each of our cars.

thanks for replies and will certainly get an OBD reader, did the Battery disconnect trick this afternoon and codes went away , went for a short spin and the lights didn't come back on.
