Rear Screen Defroster & Boot Light Not Working

Hi guys,

My rear screen defroster and internal boot light are not working.

Can anybody offer some obvious checks that I could do myself?

Where does the rear defroster hook up to the loom?

Is the boot light activated by a switch on the boot lid when it opens?? Where is that switch please?

Take the boot liner off, may of just missed putting the connectors back on.

Do you mean the liner of the boot lid, or the lining in the boot?

Any idea where the rear screen defroster hooks up? Will it be under the trim on the C pillar?

Could be a fuse too?

Yes under the boot lid.

If your handy with a multi meter, you can try this for the rear demister:

 

Other than that, you can see here that the wiring goes to the near side pillar, and there is a relay in the engine bay:

As your diagram shows a left hand drive car, can I assume the connection will actually be in the offside c pillar?

Actually, I would assume that the body wiring would be same for both and only the dash loom would be different, but I am not sure.
