Stereo wiring

Can anybody tell me if this stereo connection is standard wiring or after market (amp bypass) I've tried to plumb a stereo in as when I bought my car it didn't have one and I couldn't get it to work. i tried getting my hand down the side of the amp but my hand doesn't fit....
