I've seen plenty of reports (Facebook) of damage to the dash, following replacement of the airbag. Has anyone had this job done and experienced the same. Obviously it needs to be done but worth taking some photos before they start the work... 🤔

Mark, thanks for posting this. That's a handy tip to take some images / video before you take the car in!!!

I think this is being discussed in the IS250 section...pretty ****ty for you guys, you need the work doing but could get the car back with damage!

Seems like a few have had collateral damage as a result, definitely take photos! I'll let them get a few under their belts before I let them loose on mind 😉

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, at least one positive out of being one of the last in a very long queue.

Mind you, this is all par for the course. In the states loaners and compensation are all the rage, while long waits and scratches are much more our bag.

I agree with others damage is unacceptable video/photograph I do it every time my car goes in for service etc, I take a picture of the speedo read out and all four wheels, and the car is not to be taken for a road test unless I'm present.

My dealer always complies with my polite but firm requests and we have a good relationship, it's not that I don't trust them it just clarifies the position from the start.

Hopefully those that have suffered damage will have it all rectified at the dealers expense.

Sounds like a great dealer Rattie. Which one do you use?

@Flytvr I'm not telling you, as when they see your 'Rat Chewed non standard discs ' it could ruin my coffee and bikkie allowance 😂

When my car went in for a service a few weeks back, I asked about the air bag replacement damage issues & was told that they would access it via the glove box to avoid damaging the dash.

Will still be waiting a while before I get it done to make sure I'm not the 1st & will take be taking pictures etc as usual.
