Are ALL Lexus parts expensive?

Looking for a passenger wiper arm for my IS 250 as the existing one has some flaking and white rust (or similar) on it.

Gone to a couple of spares suppliers and getting quoted £35 and £42.  What!!!

Any where else to look or go to?  Probably take it off sand it down and repaint.

Thanks

Best to take it off / sand and repaint like you have said as if replacing it then you would have to take it off anyway

I know what you mean about the quality of the arms as mine have bubbled and I have often thought about repainting them. May well do so when I change the wiper blades.

Chances are a wiper blade from scrap yard will corrode soon enough. Best bet is to take them off and sand/prime/repaint. Then you know they're going to last many years, if not the lifetime of the car.

Arms are made from aluminum and covered in not great primer (that is the white "rust" you have described). Best thing to do is as described by @is200 Newbie - sand and paint them with spray paint, ideally primer+paint+lacquer. £42 seems cheap for me considering other car prices, it is probably not OE part, but made under license somewhere.
