IS300h dashboard speaker upgrade

hi  there.... I have a lexus is300h .. wanted to know how do I check what amp i have .. I have the basic system and not the mark leviston..

Hi, I just swapped the dash speakers with Kicker KSC350 - really happy with the sound quality improvement (standard 6-speaker spec). What woofers/coaxials do you recommend for the front door? Kicker 47KSC6504 or should stick to 1-way speaker? Are the standard speakers 6.5” or 8”?

The standard speakers are 8” but everybody seems to replace them with 6,5”. I can’t understand why. It seems they are filtered to provide only bass frequencies so no need to replace it by a two way in my opinion.

 

anyone replacing the 8inch by an 8”? Which model did you use?

I couldn’t find any compatible woofers, only 6.5” good quality coaxials and 8” Alpine 3-way coaxials (not sure about sound quality). I have standard 6-speaker spec with no amp. Have anyone replaced standard woofers for something better sounding on standard head unit? I don’t plan to install additional amp, already have active 8” subwoofer in the boot.
