Today, Ebay, 99% LS400'S £1K PLUS

Recently someone mentioned the prices of the LS 400's were going up, today on eBay there is only 1 LS400 below £1K.

I have had 3 LS cars since either 2008 or 2010 (cant remember which), the most expensive was £900,. they have all been superb cars, I changed for the colors....... a sure sign of oncoming insanity:

Just to add, thIs one V454 has no advisories of chasis parts, no corrosion ever in it's MOT history, that said, it is not mandatory that testers put advisories on any car.

Prices really vary widely don't they? And some are clearly well over priced.

Yes, someone mentioned it on here last week I think, but looking at eBay now compared to appx 2010 they are just rising & riseing, suppose that follows the principle that rareity creates need, on the other hand, unless you know/have experience of an LS400/430 etc who on earths going to buy a 20 year + old car, yet some of them can be described as in excellent condition, my first LS had 230k on the clock when I bought it but because of its service history I did not have the slightest concern about it (just wanted a different color)

I think because they're so rare people just don't know or understand the LS, for that reason many just stay well clear of them.

I first noticed the LS400 from Pistonheads when it kept on coming up in the bargain barging thread. Lots of guys bought them 5-7 years ago for very little to smoke around in and then scrap as they are often worth more in parts that sold as a whole. I recently bought an LS400 door from a guy who had scrapped a low mileage MkIV about 5 years ago, just for the engine. The rest of the car was as straight as the door I bought, apparently, which was in excellent condition.
