Spare key

Hi all , im new to the forum and was just wondering if a spare key fob is dealer only, i have one but need a spare lexus charge nezrly £400 to get one

Look no further newbie is correct unfortunately.... we've had a couple of false dawns on the past but nothing came to fruition.

If you want/need another.... got to get the dollar out.

Its a good bargaining point before buying the car to bring it down a few quid .... not a lot of use to you now unfortunately

I had to buy a 2nd key about two years ago, £280 for the key and £50 to program,

It's daylight robbery I know but if you really need the extra key fob your going to have to splash the cash.

So as the Only way to get a duplicate key is via main dealer, and hand over a kidney, does this mean that the chances of some lowlife taking a shine to my Lexus via a cloning device of some description not going to happen?

I think that is partially why it is only from the dealer and why it is so expensive.
