Question to Honest John

What is the expected lifespan for the Battery on a hybrid car e.g. the Lexus CT200?

HJ`s answer.

I simply don't get any reports from readers of them failing. We have a 2010 Auris HSD with exactly the same drivetrain as the CT200 and it's never been a problem.

Is this what we expect/receive from our HYBRID BATTERIES ?
I remember Tony Richa covering over 200,000 miles in his GS before he had to try (unsuccessfully ) to deal with another unrelated problem, but don`t recall mileages of over 100,000 miles being reported on this Forum.
HJ constantly reports of Hybrid Batteries in Prius Taxis covering over 400,000 imles without problems.

My CT has 135K on it with no issues - my understanding is that the toyota system is very clever at maintaining the Battery level between 20 and 80% which is key to the life of the battery
