Sat Nav Maps Update

Hi Folks

Due to one reason and another, my local dealer has just completed a map software update.  I was told in June that a brand new version was due and would be available at the start of July.  I agreed to wait for this as it seemed sensible to get a later version.  Having got the car back and checked the setup screens, it shows a map data date of 01/11/2016.

So my question is, how is it I have waited for a brand new version, and when I get it installed it's 8 months old?

Can anyone confirm is this normal?  Previous experiences of map updates with people like Tom Tom and Garmin show that the date of the version is reflected by the release date...

I would imagine that's recent in anyone's book, it's only a few months old.

New for Lexus I would opine.

Think you will find that even the latest update is at least 18 months out of date. Unless the Lexus is totally different to the Prius.
