Driver Power Survey 2017

The new 2017 survey is out. The Lexus NX does well:

15th overall, which is not at all bad considering newer cars always do better. 

1st for Exterior Design and quality of fit, finish and materials. I always said it is the best looking SUV out there right now. :)

5th for Interior and comfort. The RX is 2nd. 

3rd for Safety Features. The RX is 1st.

9th for Reliability. The RX was 5th. 

The NX scores low for MPG and running costs, and below average for Engine/gearbox and Infotainment. 

No BMW SUV mentioned! Best Audi was the Q3 at 13th. And what happened to the Tesla S, which won it hands down last year.

These kind of surveys are meaningless in reality though. To many variables and based on opinions of biased owners.

Yes these surveys are always odd.

Of course, the Skoda Superb manages to be the best car to own, followed by the Skoda Yeti - obviously owned by older folk with too much time on their hands to participate in these studies.

All depends on perspective as well and what buyers are exposed to - buying a newer Skoda Superb compared to an older one is obviously going to have an increase in ratings across the board! No mention of the Superb's drab interior though and the Yeti is probably the worst car known to man.

The RX got slated for Fuel economy - WHAT?!

I guess after the first year playing with the new toy, they realised they can not go anywhere further than the local chipshop before Battery anxiety kicks in
