End Of Warrenty Check

So my lex is due in for a service and also the warrenty is due to run out, so i thought i would get them to check over the bits that may need replacing under warrenty..

so what i need to know is what bits shall i get them to check. i can only recal one thing and that would be the ball joints, but what else..

Ball joints, shocks, alloys and gearbox. They should know what to look for and spot anything whilst doing the service.

When they did mine they went right through the car............

They replaced a rear anti roll bar link............

What about getting themn to check the camber on the front wheels ????

bearing in mind i have replaced the suspension and alloys with aftermarket stuff.

so far the list is.

ball joints,

gear box

clutch release bearing (as it makes a noise when cold, but disappears whne the clutch pedal is down)

the car will be in for an 80k so will they check these items as a matter of course. as i mentioned the warrenty check i was told that having the technition check for stuff will be chargeable.

This could also be a gearbox input shaft bearing i think

Yes, my warranty ended on Saturday (sob), Lexus Woodford did the check for free (univited) and sorted the MOT for me. All I paid for was the MOT test.

take it for an MOT at a non lexus dealer first, to see if they find anything wrong :)

Reading did my end of warrenty check for free too. Had a wheel bearing replaced and the Battery.

How about also checking the rear discs for the drum section rusting (mine also had these replaced). Also, clutch operation if yours is not too great (jerkiness etc).
