Super GT Round 3 - Autopolis, Sunday 21st May

This weekend is the third round of the 2017 Japanese Super GT season at the Autopolis circuit, missing since the devastating Kumamoto earthquake. Lexus have been doing very well with both the LC500 in GT500 and the RC-F in GT300 but a little more effective competiton would be welcome!

Qualifying take places tomorrow with the race on Sunday; live streaming will be on the Nismo TV YouTube channel from 6.00am UK time. A link to the official website is just here, and a picture from the website is attached...

After a bit of a break Super GT is on again this weekend (22/23 July) for Round 4 at Sugo. It's all going very nicely in GT500 for Lexus with the new LC500 while in GT300 the pair of new RC-F are also doing well. I'm not sure if Nismo TV on YouTube are definitly streaming the race; they do say they are covering the whole season but as of this morning no confirmation of a forthcoming live stream.

Super GT is back this weekend, this time at Fuji for Round 5. If you haven't seen the last few laps fromthe last race, they are worth a watch here: Sugo!

Hopefully Nismo Tv will be streaming again at YouTube, although it has not been a stellar season for Nissan so far. Lexus will need to make hay while they can...

If you are in the UK and bear to be up at 0530 on a Sunday, the next round of the Super GT series will be taking place at Suzuka. It's a 1000km race and given this is Honda's own track, it's not surprising that they have elected this race to run Jenson Button as a guest driver. No doubt they will be a little miffed a GT-R will be on pole with the first of the LC500s alongside.
