Hi all

Not actually a Lexus owner yet so apologies for the intrusion!

Just made up my mind to get my 1st Lexus but need a little help. I’ve just returned an RC300H to the dealer after a weekend test and made my mind up that it what I want, however, before I do can someone tell me the difference between this and the 200T in terms of performance and features

TIA

1sec quicker to 62mph and 35mph higher top speed. Conventional autobox and a turbocharger. Horrendous fuel economy ...

Otherwise the trim levels and equipment are the same.

Strongly recommend you also test drive the 200T. They drive very differently

Have a look at my post 'goodbye GT86, hello rc300h', and the subsiquent replies. It might help, it might not?

Welcome by the way!

All trim models are the same so no difference in terms of features. It just depends on whether you prefer the Luxury, F-Sport or Premier

You may have noticed that the RC300h has a slower starting price and that's because the Luxury is not available on the 200t.

Pay attention to the VED when buying new. Only the Luxury will qualify for £140 whereas the others will be £500 if specced up.

Personally I prefer the 200t as the lower weight does make a difference. The 300h is perfectly adequate for the IS but I dont think it suits the RC to be honest

As I posted above, test drive them both.

The only opinion that matters is yours....

Thanks for the advice, tested the 200T today and as i'll be doing the majority of my mileage around town it's the 300H that wins.

Going for the F sport so just need to decide white or blue! Seen it up close in white and looks great but only pics in blue...still looks great though

Blue has so much more depth in the colour, looks fantastic in the sun.

I have a white RC 300h Fsport that I have had now for 5-6 weeks. Coming from an Insignia VXR it did take a little bit of getting used to, but now I am completely sold on the hybrid experience. I love the relaxed, unhurried driving experience you feel with the ecvt gearbox, and obviously the fuel consumption and reduced road tax compared to the VXR. All in all, I am so glad I made the jump from Vauxhall to Lexus.

Like Dave I test drove a 300h F SPORT and had to get one - I went for blue

What colour did you choose and if you have it already how's it going
